I've been using GDS on an email account for years now. It's been very helpful! Thanks so much for creating it!

I've opened a new account for my business, and I wanted to install GDS. I went to this page to review permissions: https://script.google.com/macros/s/AKfycbwj33Oz6MBRVYhcFlyBJ6bNCllcr2sDCbLpZkGF-etLOtPyXYZS/exec

When I clicked on "review permissions", I got the usual prompt to sign into my email account. I clicked on the account (the only option I was given) and got a message that said "Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app."

What's going on? And is there a good way for me to address this problem?

Thanks for your help.

Hello,

It looks like there are some new restrictions on the permissions that scripts have when being installed.

I can submit this script for review, but in the mean time I wonder if running your own version of the script would avoid this issue.

Interested to hear if this works for ya!

Thanks,
-Blair

Hi, Blair.

I tried running my own version of the script, as you suggested. When I was asked to review permissions, I still get the response that the app isn't verified.
Thanks for the tip (it certainly seemed worth a shot), and thanks for submitting GDS for review. Do you have any idea how long that review might take?

All the best,

Bareena

Hello Bereena,

I'm super surprised that running your own version of the script didn't work. I'm not sure how long the review process takes, but if I hear anything I'll keep you updated.

Blair, I am seeing exact same issue and not able to use your app. Do you know when will the issue be fixed?
Or can i get the script code that i can copy in my google scripts and run it?

"Sign in with Google temporarily disabled for this app

This app has not been verified yet by Google in order to use Google Sign In."

@BRS and others.
I was able to successfully deploy my own version of the script following the instructions provided:

At the final step, when reviewing the permissions, it's possible to bypass Google's authentication. There is an "Advanced" link in the pop-up authentication window. Using that to self-verify, you will authenticate the app yourself. Now, all seems to be working as before!
Thanks!!
