How to attach files in Google Groups?

Is there a way to attach a file to an outgoing message in Google
Groups? There is clearly no "Attach file" or any other intuitive form
that indicates this is possible.

to Gmail...@googlegroups.com

You can email the group (usually grou...@googlegroups.com), then attach the file to that email.
