Spell Checker not working

Spell checker (button option in "tools") fails to work, recieve following pop up;

 

 "Unable to process the spelling request, please check back later."

 

This issue began about 3 weeks ago.  Tried deleting spell check option in tools, selected again but to avail.

Where exactly is 'tools' of which you speak? Spell check is a function of your browser, not of Gmail and you have not mentioned what browser you are using.

Actually, a spell checker IS part of Gmail.

But it is not accessed from 'Tools', so the question remains.  If you get to this spell checker from 'Tools', it is not Gmail's spell checker.

For some reason I was thinking about the automatic spell checking, which is a function of the browser.

Karina, Gmail's 'Check spelling' is accessed from the drop-down on the bottom-right of your compose window.

Google Toolbar has nothing to do with Gmail, and this forum is about Gmail.

 

Perhaps try removing and re-installing it.
