One one of my machines (Win7 32-bit), my Gmail inbox shows all
messages in bold, even after marking them as read. If I go to any
other machine it looks fine. I'm using IE9 on the problem machine,
but I'm using IE9 on the other machines too and there its fine.

I'm stumped as to what the problem is. I'm thinking maybe its a font
problem? I checked the IE font settings and reset all settings to
defaults and still no joy.

Any ideas? Also, everything uses a Courier font now in Gmail :)

I have had a couple of Windows 7 machines display fonts incorrectly in
IE before. One example was everything was showing in italics. I
finally figured out the problem as a corrupt font file. If you have
another Windows 7 machine you can copy over the font file to fix it. If
not, maybe there is a way to extract it from the install CD's or
something. But, it is probably a corrupt font file for whatever your
default IE font is.
