How do we do it, or how does one do it? :P
  • Create a blank document in your favourite word processor then insert a table with 1 row and 2 columns.
  • Type your signature text in the cell you wish to appear next to the image, and leave the other cell empty.
  • Adjust cell dimensions and change/remove table borders as desired.
  • Ctrl-A to select all then Ctrl-C to copy.
  • Open your Gmail settings, select the signature field and paste (Ctrl-V) this table.
  • Click into the empty cell to place the cursor there, then insert your image using the icon in the toolbar.
  • Click on the image to set it's size if you have not already resized it.
  • Save changes.
Voilà you are done.
