I have not been able to use my gmail accounts for the past 2 days,
because IT IS NOT AVAILABLE in my computer at work. This is SERIOUS,
since I rely on the archiving feature of gmail. What can I do?

"because IT IS NOT AVAILABLE"

Er... as in it is being blocked by your employer, or it just doesn't load, or what? Does it work from your home?

What error message do you get when you try to log on?  Your company may have blocked gmail.  Can you access it at home?

I've been having problems with GMail myself recently. I was getting a
message telling me the redirect was bad. I had to clear my cache and
cookies to get it working. Have you tried that?

If nobody in the Gmail Users group has an answer and you cannot get a response from Google/Gmail support, then you may want to try a more direct approach to Google.  To that end I will repeat the information I provided before (minus the "political stuff," Ryan): Call Google customer service at 1/650/930-3500 and choose option 5 (or you can check 1/800/555-1212 to find out if Google has a toll free number).  Or you can send a fax to 1/650/253-0001.  Or you can send a letter to Google.  If I were getting to the point of desperation over a problem, I would address separate letters to Google CEO Eric Schmidt and Google Director Larry Page (the two co-founders, as you undoubtedly know).  Google, Inc. - 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway - Mountain View, CA 94043.
Hoping this is of help to you (let the group know if it is), Wolfeman

Thank you, rhlobo. I am completing 5 days locked out of Gmail.

After trying without succes all kind of ideas from people participating
in the Gmail forum and other forums. I called Google headquarters by
phone. Result: They do not give customer service there. I entered my
problem in Google's web site as if were a suggestion (using an old
--not Gamail-- email account). They answered as follows:

"Re: [#61935649] Account Status
"Hello,
"Thanks for your report. We apologize for any inconvenience this may
have caused. To help us better diagnose the problem, please reply to
this message with the following information:
"- Please describe what occurs after submitting your username and
password.
"- Are you receiving any specific error messages? If so, please include
the exact code or text of the message.
"- When did you first encounter this issue? Please provide a specific
date and time, if possible.
"- What browser are you using? Please specify the exact version. (This
information is typically available in the 'Help' menu of your browser,
under 'About Internet Explorer,' 'About Firefox,' etc.)
"- Which Internet security, firewall, anti-virus, or pop-up blocking
software is installed on your computer, if any?
"- Which browser extensions or toolbars are installed on your computer,
if any?
"Once we receive all the requested information, we'll investigate the
issue further.
"Sincerely,
"The Google Team"

I answered all questions inmediately, of course. No response.
Obviously, Google is looking for problems outside, in the user´s
environment, when they MUST know the problem is in their own SERVERS.

THIS IS A SERIOUS PROBLEM. SEE

They aren't necessarily considering it solely the user's problem, they're just looking for what makes your case different from others who are still able to access their Gmail accounts.

Jaime - Your next step, then, is to write to Eric Schmidt and Larry Page, tell them what you have gone through, and ask why it is that you are not able to get help with the problem.  Do you still have the address I gave you?  Meanwhile, if you have Norton Antivirus, you might try disabling that temporarily - use the default 15-minute period - to see if you can log into Gmail with that off.  You can make the same kind of test with any firewall you have set up.  The idea is to see what may be interfering.  There are times in this computer world when you have to play detective and try to find out what is wrong by trial and error. I was having terrible troubles with my MSN Mail until Norton notified me that Smiley Central had been identified as an "infection" - quite a stunner.  I disabled it and everything cleared up.  I miss those wonderfully clever emoticons, but I do not miss all of the misery I was experiencing in my e-mail.  Keep trying different things. - Wolfeman

Jaime - I just did a little research and discovered that quite a few Gmail users have been experiencing the same problem you have.  Go to this site: http://www.gmail/forums.com/lofiversion/index.php/t10107.htm .  Also, do a Google search by typing the following into the subject bar: "Cannot unload Gmail."  You will get a whole bunch of information. - Wolfeman

Marcia - Maybe "htm" at the end is wrong and should be html.  Anyway, just do a Google search by typing in "Cannot unload Gmail," and the site I supplied will come up along with a number of other sites wherein Gmail users discuss the problem, the various answers they got from Google, and what has and has not worked.  Let me know, please, if that works for you.
Best regards to you from Burton (aka Wolfeman).
