Sending AVI Files

Every time I attempt to send an AVI file through Gmail I get error
#008...I tried the steps they tell you to take and got nothing. Anyone
know how I can fix this and send AVI files?

What size is the avi file? If it is bigger than 14-15MB, you will not
be able to send it.

Why it cat be bigger als 14-15 MB?
I thought the max. file size for attachments is 50 MB?

What happens if you zip the avi file?

Actually, the max size for messages is 20MB on GMail:

Which includes attachments and text and header, etc... That's why he
recommended no larger than 14-15 so you don't have to worry about
being close.

AVIs are compressed video, so typically ZIP won't gain you much in the
way of compression.

You need the right codec on your PC to view the files.
The easiest way ist to download the VLC Player wich includes all codec
you´ll ever need.

I just tought about the file extension, maybe gmail block has a prob
w/ avi
(just what I thought) so just wanna give him a hint.
btw. I just test it, i can send 15 MB Avi files, works.
