Last night I set up a theme for my gmail, but today I log in and it is
gone. The "Themes" choice under settings has also disappeared for me.

How do I get "Themes" to reappear under Settings? Why did the themes
disappear in the first place?

Was it the theme that is gone or is it changed?  Some of the theme pages change from day to day and from hour to hour.  Of course the icon being gone seems like a problem.

The same thing happened to me today!
I've been using the Themes since they came out (like 2-3 days ago?).
Then today, when I was using the public computers at school, I noticed
the Themes were gone. :-( There wasn't even a tab for it in the
Settings.

After looking around online... I concluded that the presence or
absence of the Themes most likely related to the browser you're
using. At home I always use Firefox, but the public computers I was
using only have Internet Explorer.

Anyway, I'm just relieved that the Themes are alive and when once I
got home. :-)
The Zoozimps one is so cute!!

Did you use another browser or use the "older version" of gmail?

I had the same problem....It was solved by clicking the mouse under
the word Settings (in the settings menu) in the white area. The menu
options were hidden by the white space and appeared when I clicked
the mouse. Apparently some selections of Themes cover the text but
they will all appear when the mouse is clicked in the proper place.
That worked for me but you may have a different issue.....

I don't understand what happened. All of my themes have disappeared
on all three of my gmail accounts, and the Themes tab is missing from
the Settings menu on all of them. It can't just be a browser problem,
b/c all the browsers I use (generally IE) saw them just fine enough
for me to adopt different themes when they were released.

Any thoughts?

I would guess that they are not finished rolling Themes out yet.

Same here.
I've been using Themes on my 3 Gmail accounts for ages.
One of them disappeared, so now it's blank, while my other accounts are fine. The missing Theme account also doesn't have the Themes option in my settings.
Can't seem to find a solution that works in any of these message boards.
I've tried clearing my cookies, updating my Firefox, switching to Chrome, etc.
I even went through the whole aggravating process of figuring out the whole admin account thing to no avail. If anyone tells me to sign into my admin account again, I might flip out. It doesn't work. Period.

What 'admin account thing'? You realise that you are replying to a conversation that is over 6 years old?

What happens if you try the direct theme setting link? https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#settings/themes
Substitute the 0 in the link for whatever number your account is, if not 0 (you will see the number in the Gmail URL in your browser).
