Hello everyone.  I have three gmail accounts. Suppose I:
1> Log into my MAIN account, read email, reply, etc.
2> Decide to check my Second account real quick.... I go to "Switch Account," and log in.
3> Do what I need to do. Finish.

At this point, I only want to log out of the Second account. But when I do, it logs me out of BOTH accounts.  What do I do to log out of the Second account without logging out of both accounts?

Thank you.

The "Sign Out" link to the left of the "Switch Accounts" link is supposed to do that, and it definitely used to.  Perhaps there is a new bug, because I too had it sign me out of ALL accounts, not just the current one.  I'm using Chrome V13.something.  Anyone else want to try it in Firefox, IE, and Opera (to name a few) to see if it's Chrome related, or GMail, and if it's affecting more than just Robert and me?

Ok, I am using Firefox 6.0, Windows XP Pro, and Gmail. Is that enough clues to work from?

I sure would enjoy logging out of the accounts one at a time.  Ideally, I was hoping there were two ways: Log out of one account, or, log out ALL accounts. That would be nice.

Thank you.

I just tried with Chrome 15.0.861.0 dev-m and Firefox Aurora 8.0a2.  Both browsers signed me out of both accounts when I clicked on Sign Out.  I was not able to find a way to only sign out of one of the logged in accounts.  I was doing this just on the google.com page and not in Gmail.  So, it is not a problem specific to Gmail or to a particular browser.

I guess I wasn't clear... it's SUPPOSED to be that way... use the "Sign Out" on the initial drop-down to sign out of just one, and use the "Sign out of all accounts" link on the "Switch Accounts" page to sign out of all of them.

There's apparently a bug in the system now.  Your best bet is to use the bug report page to report this to Google so they can address it.

Thank you for suggesting I report it. I did that.

Thank you.
