Hi guys,
i want to add a filter. There are mails FROM me TO me. So a simple FROM filter won't work. The subject is in most cases the same: 4 words are equal at the beginning, followed by an ip address. I tried it with a wildcard * but this won't work. Is there a chance to ad such a filter like i'd prefer?
Thanks in advance
Sebastian

You're correct that wildcards don't work; but you should be able to search for the from/to and those 4 words with no issues.

Searches and filters look for the presence of the word or words or name(s) you specify, but do not exclude more words.  There is no need to use wildcards to allow other words.  It already happens.  Searching for "word1 word2" would match "word1 word2 word3 ..." because it contains the search term.

Wildcads, if they did work, would only have been useful for matching characters WITHIN words or names.  For example: "g*mail".  That is, IF they allowed wildcards.
