within the 500 emails in my inbox, there are 5 unread emails.
how do i find them using a search query? once found, i will assign the
label inbox-unread.
if i use the search options, i find all the gazillion mails under other
folders which are unread.
i am hoping, some gmail wizard/engineer can come up with a query i can
use..
something like
label:inbox and is:unread
the above query brings back only 2 of the 5 items, with no particular
reason as to why only those 2 were found. I know there are 5 items,
because when i bring up the perpetually crashing gtalk ( the
perpetually crashing part is solely limited to my machine among my
friends), it cycles through the 5 items in the inbox...
Thanks in advance for any help

Almost, try "in:inbox is:unread"
both DON'T work if you use "and".
ie
"in:inbox and is:unread" as well as "label:inbox and is:unread" both
give the same partial results.
mark a few very old emails unread and try it..
Many thanks though. Never realized that "and" was spooking gmail.
