I am able to edit subjects in drafts simply by clicking on the Subject field and typing.

What does yours do that you can't?

Hi,
When I need to change a draft mail subject which saved before, I can't modify subject using new UI.
What I can do is change to old version UI and modify subject.

It is not reasonable and inconvenient. I don't think Google developer will assume that user will not change their email subject.
Can any one help me how to edit subject using new UI?
Thanks is advance.

Works fine for me.  I just saved a draft, went back in and was able to change the subject with no problems.  Try clearing your cache and trying again.

To: Martin Hsu - I had to look around for the "edit subject" feature for a while, but it is easily available. When you reply to an email, at the top of the Reply window, above the text box, you'll see the name of the person to whom you're replying, and to the left of that you'll see a tiny downward pointing triangle. Clicking on that trianglebrings up several options, among them "edit subject". Click "Edit subject" and you will be able to edit.

Yes, you are correct about the Edit Subject when replying.  But, the original poster was talking about editing the subject of a saved draft message.  You just need to click on the subject and type the new one when editing a draft.

Still worked for me; on this message (though I chose not to change it).

It is still working for me.  When I click on the down arrow and edit subject, the compose window comes up with the subject highlighted.  I can start typing and it replaces the current subject.
