<<< No Message Collected >>>
in the body of the email. It appears the headers are intact, but the
body had only that line.
Some of these emails were fetched by Gmail from another account via
POP; so I thought maybe the POP process had a glitch.
But in three other cases, they were sent to my Gmail account, not
fetched. I know the messages weren't sent that way, because they were
in an email group and others on that group did receive the full
message.
And I've never seen this happen before this week.
Any idea what's going on? Is it a Gmail-specific error message?
Are others seeing this?
Thanks,
Andy
It would appear that the messages may have arrived intact, but that
Gmail is unable to fetch them from its computers!
I say this because a reply to one of the messages has the
"- Show quoted text -"
substituting for the body of the original message that was quoted in
that reply. So Gmail recognizes that quoted portion as text that it
already has (or had) in that Conversation.
So does this mean Google is suddenly having problems accessing email
messages in my account?
As I said already, this only started happening two days ago, and only
to a handful of messages so far. It is disturbing, to say the least.

What Cisco Firewall??
Whatever it was (no Cisco firewall here), the problem appears to have
been temporary.
