Yes, google has plenty of great spam features, but I had an Idea. We
should have a list of regular spammers on our accounts and if they send
an e-mail to us, It will be automaticly deleted. If you agree with me,
Post back and copy my text. And leave a note. Hopefully we will ge to
the admins and they will attempt to add this feature

I believe that you can create a filter that will accomplish this. Have
you gone that route yet?

The problem with this is that many spammers make up email addresses every time they send a new batch of spam.  If you try to reply to a spam message (not something I would recommend doing), the address it directs to is often completely non-existent, as is the "From" address.

AFAIK, there is no way of detecting who sent the message without using IP addresses and the headers, and people with dynamic IP addresses would get in trouble if they were blocked because of somebody else using the same ISP as them was spamming.

Good idea, but I don't think it would work...

I think having the emails placed in the spam folder isn't good enough,
and at that point I can either chose to never look in my spam folder
and thus never see any of my spam which'll get deleted every 30 days
automatically or I can go into the spam folder and simply delete my
spam in increments of 50 at a time, that's good enough for me IMO

By the way, does anyone know if Google is practicing teergrubbing?

For anyone not familiar with the term.

"teergrubbing" (actually "teergrubing") is from the German teer="tar",
grube="mine, pit" and is better translated into English as "tarpitting"
(remember Brer Rabbit building the tar baby and what Brer Bear/Wolf/Fox,
whoever it was, tried to do to it? If not, Google for it). Tarpitting is
delaying messages from spammers in the vain hope that the spammer will
get fed up and go away for ever.

Class dismissed.

Well in that case who cares? :P lol They're spammers, I could care
less if their email is delayed or delivered immediately, either way
it's going to end up in my Spam folder and deleted forever therafter.

Well then just maybe google should try to track IP addresses, and get
those spammers in trouble. Not Trying to be smart. Just I am changing
subject since you did have a good idea.

I'm saying if they were capable of tracking their IP addresses. Would
be able to block that IP address from the gmail server. Therefore
stopping the spammer from sending e-mails from that computer.

A very stupid suggestion, UknownDefender.
1) Lots of people have dynamic IPs
2) Many spammers infect others' computers with a virus which then
starts mailing spam. You suggest to block thousands of users who were
unlucky/careless/stupid enough to get infected?
3) Why bother? Spam can only be defeated by teaching users, and making
them overall smart. Spam will not vanish after you issue a law, or
invent a "ground-breaking new technology". Never. They will find other
ways to do what is profitable - so if you want to eliminate spam, make
sure it is not profitable at all - not even a hundred bucks a month.
And that can only be assured if people consiously avoid purchasing
goods advertised via spam, no matter how attractive the offer appears
or even really is.
4) Instead of making stupid suggestions, you'd love to kill your
previous posts so the spambots do not grab your mail address while
scanning this page.
