New theme do not fit screen

Another surprise from Google? When I logged on, I was invited to "pick
a theme." I looked at them all (some are gently colored, others are
stark). My major problem, however, is that none of them fit into the
horizontal space of my screen. I have my labels on the right side (a
lab feature that I want keep using), but when you open a mail item,
the labels overlap AND TOTALLY COVER the items in the right side, like
"Print all" and "new window." It even covers up the "reply box."

In addition, when I open a msg, I get a horizontal scroll bar. IT
WON'T FIT. I would like hearing back from someone to make sure I am
not doing something wrong. But it seems that something new should not
be worse than something old. I really don't care to move my labels
back, but I will give it a try.

My lord, it sounds like what happened with the Tabs in iGoogle.

And Shadow... sorry for the pain, but Labs are features that are
experimental after all. Gmail basically promises that some things will
break at different times and that some things won't play well
together.

The overlapping of right-side labels and the ads and links is a
problem with right-side labels, not the themes.

The GMail-Labs-Right-Side-Labels group has several threads on this
problem. It's not consistent (this message does not have the
problem), but fairly frequent and common. (if you haven't guessed, I'm
using RSL too)
