Same thing happened to mine....I also had that Gmail envelope in my
favorites and as a shortcut on my taskbar AND on my desktop. I also
have that generic Internet explorer with the lower case, blue "e." I
WAS able to get the envelope back on my toolbar, though. Just need to
install the Google toolbar. Once it's installed, just go to
"Settings," then click "Options," and click on the "Buttons" tab.
You will see a bunch of different icons/shortcuts including the Gmail
envelope. Click "Add to toolbar." This puts the envelope shortcut on
your toolbar, butI haven't been able to get it back on my desktop or
in my favorites.
