Been trying to search this answer without any luck. If you want to just suggest a good query to search, I'm all ears.

I have over 10,000 emails I need to send to my lawyer, so his paralegal can sort. Then we have to print a good portion of them and submit them as evidence if we can't figure a way to send them to the opposing party.

I have read up on the "delegation" feature but that only solves the problem for the paralegal.

How do you send many emails to one person?

Thank you in advance this would be a great weight off my shoulders.

Forwarding large numbers is not generally easy, but you could print to PDF and make multiple attachments. I'd personally go with turning on IMAP, and copy those all off to an MBOX type file, which can then be transferred as one file with all the e-mails in it.

I have done this by connecting Mozilla Thunderbird to the account via IMAP, move all those email into a folder and then use the ImportExportTools add-on to export them as .eml files which can then be opened or imported on the other end.

Marko,

Much appreciated,

Would you guess the other party has to have Thunderbird (probably best chance of success) or Outlook should do fine as well because .eml is pretty standard format?

When you did yours, were you able to send folder(s) within a folder or did you just send a bunch of emails in 1 folder?

Thanks,

Zack,

Much appreciated, could you just give me a little more as to "MBOX type file".
So are you basically saying,
Turn on IMAP in my Gmail settings
Install something like Thunderbird or Outlook
and I would be able to "copy those all off" from Thunderbird/Outlook?

Yes, the way that Marko suggested works as well.. MBOX should be a file with multiple .eml in it; and .eml is a standard format, so they should have no issue accepting those files.

Hi Ron

Yes, Outlook will open .eml format messages.

IIRC it did create subfolders with all messages within and I just zipped the whole lot up, which I seem to recall that add-on even does on the fly.
