Why not try "some-name"+ad...@gmail.com, as was already suggested?

The actual account name would be some...@gmail.com, but you could
publicize it as some-na...@gmail.com and it would work. For
example, you could use navachait...@gmail.com) You don't need
to add or change anything; you can use it right now.

Perhaps you could try variations such as admin1.s...@gmail.com
... but didn't I see something implying that they do not allow Google
account names with "admin" within them? I could be wrong.

    I use "smparadox+<groupname>@gmail.comu and it works just fine. Plus, setting it up that way allows me to set my name for that email as "<groupname> Moderator".
