My primary e-mail address is at http://mail.ucla.edu, and I have
directed that server to transfer all e-mail to my Gmail address. I
have enabled IMAP on Gmail, but not POP. That resulted in bulk
transfer of all mail to my Gmail account, but with the following
oddity:UCLA addressed e-mail goes to "All Mail" mailbox while
subscribed mail, multi-party copies go to my "Inbox." Any e-mail
directly addressed to my secondary G-mail account goes properly to the
"Inbox." Being technically challenged, I welcome any comments or
assistance to rectify this issue. Thanks. FNOX

Looks like the mail addressed to your ucla address is getting auto
archived. You can check if there are any filters u have created for
doing the same.

If u have popped all the emails from your ucla address then there's a
possibility that u have enabled auto archive option there.

create a label that indicates ucla as its title, the create a filter
to bypass the inbox and send it right to the label, you can read only
items from the ulca mail service by clicking that label and it will be
orderly, they will be on their own and easy to find etc. they will
still appear in all mail, but all the mail does anyway. its just that
this way, they will be found nicely in their own label.
