I am a new member. My complaint is that the font size in Inbox is
quite small and I am not as young as I used to be!

Is there a way to adjust this? I know I can change font in Compose
mode but have not found how to do it in Inbox.

Cheers

I recommend not changing the font size in Compose mode because you are
actually changing the font size of your outgoing message, meant for
others to see. You might be subjecting them to an unusually large
font ... when it is YOU who needs the larger font, not them!

Most if not all web browsers give you the ability to enlarge
everything on the display screen. That's what you should use, since
it affects your screen only. Try something like the View or Tools
menu in your web browser. Some browsers use Ctrl/+ and Ctrl/- as
shortcuts to enlarge and shrink.

Thanks, I was trying to remember the control key sequence to increase/decrease font size.

And what is the control key combo to restore font size to default/normal?  Maybe Robert accidentally did some control minuses once upon a time and just needs to get back to normal.

As a 77 year old retiree who is not skilled at new technologies, I
know I've been very lucky with Gmail. I've had a few problems, a few
things I needed to work around, a couple of things I've missed as an
expatriate from Outlook. But the longer I use Gmail, the more I
appreciate it, and the more benefit I get from the things it will do
which Outlook didn't do. I also appreciate the excellent help and
advice I've gotten from people in this Users' Group.

I do think people should be able to vent about their troubles and
frustrations, as long as they're polite about it. How else would I
know that I'm not the only one who's had frustrations? How else could
the more expert people here find those problems they could actually
help with?

I belong to quite a few online groups in dog training, photography,
videography, and probably a couple of other things I can't think of at
the moment. This Gmail users' group is one of the most helpful ones,
and it's one of the most polite ones, with few-to-no "trolls" as far
as I can tell. Thanks to the Moderators for keeping it that way!
Please don't discourage people too much, from "Venting" occasionally -
and politely.

Bill.

As you are a member of other lists, you should know it is impolite to hijack others' threads, as you have done here.

In other words, please change the Subject line, next time.

Many thanks Marco for giving me the solution to getting my inbox font size back to normal - every now and then I touch something and it all shrinks, and have never before been able to get it back so easily!!  Yeah!!  Kathy

I just found a trick for this. Copy one word of larger text from another email and paste it into your email. Then add your text mid word. Delete both parts of the original word when done. This is quite a pain but it works.  This way, in a reply, you can also match the font size used by the sender. That's the polite thing to do. Google should be ashamed of themselves for omitting a font size feature.
