How are the moderators able to approve posts so quickly? ~Dodo

From the list rules (http://groups.google.com/group/gmail-users/browse_thread/thread/ab18d70dbe73a4fe?hl=en), you can see there are multiple moderators, so it's not always the same person that approves messages.  And some people are set to unmoderated, but the majority still are, even after a few posts.

My guess is that only messages from new members are held for moderation, then thereafter automatically approved.

That's not been my experience!

I've posted here periodically over a year now, and am still moderated every time. 

Not that I'm complaining about it, mind. I'd rather the messages be moderated than have forum full of trolls and spammers.

The issue is rather that the moderators all 'appear to be' in one time-zone - which means that those of us (in Europe) that are awake before the moderators then have to wait to see if our postings are accepted.
