Is there a keyboard shortcut for adding a signature? I don't want to
add my signature to each and every email i send. Do i have to go to
the General Settings page each time? Thanks.

Once you enable your signature in Settings it will automatically be
added to every message you compose.

You could do what Laurie suggests and then delete signatures from
those you don't care to send. That would probably be easier.

If you use Firefox as your web browser,l there are a couple of extensions that will allow you to do what you want (and not jsut with Gmail). My personal favorite is the "Clippings" extension.

Or you can now use the "Canned respones" from labs.  Set up a whole series of different signatures as canned responses and simply choose which you want at the time.

Only drawback is that canned responses delete all of the message that you are replying to.  If that is a problem.
