It would be a very helpful addition to Gmail...

"Resend Button "

Yes, a "Re-send" button for sent emails, how many times you've sent an
email and the recipient deleted it by mistake as they claim or
filtered and deleted automatically.
Or you may wish to RESEND the same email to a different recipient
without going through the hassle of saving your email as a draft then
resending it or forwarding it.

In Gmail we don't have -yet- a resend button .We do have now a delete,
spam and achieve buttons - thanks to Gmail Team, in my opinion this
will be an essential addition.

Lets Hear you opinion

PS. I searched Google Groups for this and found no results

I think this would be of such limited use as to be pointless. Just
forward the message to them.

any mail you send is in the sent box..so you can go there and do one
of two things, c&p it to a new compose or forward it to a new
recipient using the bcc function. though, a resend might be a nice
addition all in all. I have done the above suggested for a long time,
since I got my gmail account actually..there's always one more person
I think of later I wanted to send that mail to.

I think I will pass on this option too.  Pointless as can be.

While I agree with the others who see this to be of little utility,
you should make the suggestion to GMail

Actually it is these small things that would make Gmail a powerful
email client... Plus made this post to check other users opinion.

Thanks 4 urs

I'm not a fan of a resend button, and rarely use it even in Outlook
where I have it. I prefer to use Forward. It's usually not to
EVERYONE the original was to, so why bother them, and if it was, I can
C&P the original header into the to field; and I like to leave the
forwarding block to remind the blockhead who claims not to have
received it, exactly when they DID receive it the first time.

I agree with you in one thing,,, for the time being let's not bother
them (them if your are refereeing to Gmail Team) with this small
thing.

However I surly I would like to see it done... It's just a small
button thing that any joiner Gmail member can do!

And Thanks for Your Reply and Remarks ( Appreciated )

Actually by "why bother them" I meant the people that I had originally
sent a message (typically a resend button generates an e-mail to
everyone on the original distribution).

As far as the GMail team... I say, bother them. You're a beta tester,
and part of your responsibility is to suggest features. Whether they
choose to implement them or not, you should suggest them. I was
merely offering my opinion, as you've requested, and won't send that
suggestion in, cause I don't agree with it. But you should;
definitely.

I use the resend email all the time with Outlook at work, and also
with Evolution on my home PC. I find it useful to send an edit to a
previously sent message, especially if going to a group of people.
It's just easier than cut-and-paste. Usually I'm just adding some info
I forgot the first time.

Just another opinion.

Outlook !
In my case I have only one licensed version which I'm using it with
the company laptop, and not in my personal laptop(s)
I think this is enough both Mr. BG and his MS
