1GB=1024 MB

Google promises to offer 1 GB of space per user. But i think 1 gb =
1024 mb.
We all see in the botton of Gmail - 0 using x mb of 100mb.So is 1000
mb= 1gb.

That's right. B is right. It has been long known and tested that the
1GB limit isn't a real limit, and that one can go past it by a few
MBs. I'd think they'll write it as "x MB of your 1GB", as it looks
much cooler than "1000MB".

I have heard that some users have emailed Google for extra storage. The
employees checked their storage and some of the users also got upto 5
gb. Is that true?

Never heard of it. Doubt it would ever happen. Unless they do it
globally, or privately inside Google.

Actually, they don't promise 1Gb of space. They promise 1000Mb. The
login page says:

"Don't throw anything away.
__1000 megabytes__ of free storage so you'll never need to delete
another message."

However, they *do* allow more than 1000Mb, I've read somehwhere it
does go up to 1024Mb, but they send you messages saying that your
mailbox size is overlimit and give you x amount of days to delete a
few messages.

above but then it goes on to say "one gigabyte", thus they are saying
we get one gigabyte, and does anyone really care?

I mean we get plenty, if the attachment size was bigger I would care,
but at 10mb per a message, I don't give a crap about 24mb
