Help. My gmail has been hijacked by someone who is stealing the info
from 1 full year of emails and has broken in to my Ebay account and
purchased over $15000 of product before I could get back in myself (to
Ebay) and block them. Gmail "will not" help me. Since I don't have my
original email, I have to wait 5 days with no account activity. Well,
the thief is using my account so it will continue to have activity!
Seems my secondary email no longer exists...or I just can't figure it
out. I have all my ID verifications if someone at gmail WILL JUST
LISTEN. No one will listen. Can anyone help? I only get canned
emails from Gmail saying to go to their help pages. Is there a place I
can go for help. Someone?

I cannot help with the stealing of info from 1 full year of emails, but I can tell you from experience YOU NEED TO CANCEL YOUR EBAY ACCOUNT YOU HAVE NOW AND START ANOTHER ONE.IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY DONE SO.  You may just have to drop your gmail account and get a new one to make this stop. Something similar happened to me with Ebay so someone must have hijacked my infomation from emails.  These people sat around all day and night trying to figure out how to do things such as this.  Hope all turns out good for you.

Google is not going to help you avoid having to pay the $15,000.  That is a problem you have with Ebay.  As for your gmail addresses, do you mean they have disappeared or just that someone else is using them?  In any event, theft of your email and other information is a problem for the FBI, to which you should report immediately what has happened.
I never do any business online because, despite all the guarantees we get as to how secure it may be, identify theft is occurring.  I advise all of my friends not to use PayPal, not to provide your credit card number or Social Security number online, or put any other identify information anywhere on the internet.  Use the telephone. Find out who you are talking to.  Order stuff by telephone; give your credit card number to a person on the other end of the line whose name you have obtained and written down.  - Wolfeman

De Palmer,
How do I cancel it? I have no control over it at all. My password has
been changed. Oh.....any info about how to cancel?

Provided you deal with legitimate companies, your information online
is safer than by telephone.

Someone else is using my Gmail account. I have fixed things with Ebay.
They were very helpful. You have a clue about what part of the FBI to
contact? Or how? I will research that and do it immediately. Thanks
for your help.

I completelly agree w/ Wolfman, Nan. I had a nightmare of sorts 3 years
ago w/ Speedy - a Telefonica's broadband service that's established all
over the world (it's originaly from Spain). I used to buy lots of
books and stuff at the WEB: not anymore. And I learned a gret deal w/ a
Brazilian WEB Detective who came oficially at my office. In short, he
said: never do business over the Internet using your documents, CCards,
etc numbers; never use bank services; be always suspicious of messages
AND phone calls asking to click, to give IDs, etc. I don't even give my
CCard number over the phone anymore.
Hope all goes well for you.

Report the "fraud" to Ebay which is what I did.  They will be able to help you.  You can find the "fraud" site on your Ebay Account page.  It will say "report fraud".

This may be where you want to go to report to the FBI http://www.fbi.gov/cyberinvest/cyberhome.htm I didn't really look into the page that much, but it may give you a place to start.

It has been awhile, but I think the site Nick has given you looks familiar to me and may be the one I used.  Sounds like you need to do something quickly.

I once forgot my Pay Pal password and after too many attempts using the
wrong one my account was frozen for a certain number of days until they
could verify with the credit card company.
Have you also canceled your credit card through the credit card
company? I would also report this theft of your account number to them
as they also investigate these things.

Thank you all. Yesterday my gmail account was restored to it's
original form and I was then again able to access it. Gmail sent me an
email to the "original secondary account" (the theif had changed it in
my account). This email got to me, of course, and I was able to access
and change my password. I am now involved in cleanup and number
changes. Could have been worse and I will not feel secure until all is
done! Thank you again.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to recover your account.

Nice to see that Gmail keeps track of even your old settings. Great forethought on their part.

spam from some one using my user name in full.
Is there any way of stopping this and also is there any way this person
may have got into my my account?
Would i be better off shutting down my current account and setting up
