I recently noticed a friend of mine who uses Gmail has her company's
logo in place of where the Gmail logo would normally be in the upper
left corner. When I asked her how she did it she said her brother is a
computer whiz and he did it for her. Does anyone know how this is done
with Gmail, how to personalize or change the graphic in the upper left
corner to your own? Thanks so much!

I know that it is possible to do it with a Google Application account,
by logging into your Google App's control panel (Manage This Domain) >
Domain Settings > Appearance.

I believe there is also a greasemonkey script for doing this on the
older version also.

Yes, there must be ... if not separately, then certainly as part of the various Better Gmail skins, as the logo changes in those, as it does in the Stylish skin. One could probably examine those scripts and determine how it is done.
