I created a filter where I was asking gmail to forward certain e-mails
from an specific address already on my inbox and the incoming emails
to another gmail account. Besides this, I marked the box DELETE IT
too, because I don't want gmail to keep a copy of them in my inbox.
Gmail actually erased all those emails (which were very important to
me) but never forwarded them to the other account. Have I lost all my
emails?? Is there anything I can do to recover them?

Thanx

If it has been less than 30 days, they should be in the trash.

When you create a new filter gmail will not forward mail already in the inbox.

Hi Dafneh,
Did you set your POP? I think you gotta set that also. You got to set it as "Send all". Only then will it send all the messages satisfying the filter criterion/criteria.
(I'm sleepy to check POP thing on my account. Pls check it yourself.)
This should work.

Wrong! In the last step for creating the filter, in the blue box,
there should be a checkbox saying "Also apply filter to x
conversations below." Check this box and the filter will do its thing
on the messages already in the inbox or other labels.

Sorry but you are wrong. When you create a filter that  forwards mail  this note will seen::

Note: old mail will not be forwarded
