Is it possible to use the POP-client in my mobile phone to read Gmail?
In that case - how do i configurate my mobile phone?
(I have a SonyEricsson)

I can read my Gmail through the webbrowser in my mobile phone, but I
rather prefer to use a POP-client if possible. (Earlier when I used
another mail account, I managed to do so.)

Very thankful for any help!

Thanks, but there they only describe how to configurate a Blackberry
or an Iphone.
I have a standard mobile phone (Sony Ericsson) and nothing is
mentioned about that one.

Anybody who has a clue?

As long as the Ericsson works with POP, you just need to put in the
information given in the "Standard Instructions" section of the page
Nick gave you. :)

Unfortunately this doesn´t work.
The mobile phone just searches for the server without finding it.
Any other thing I should adjust i my phone?

Did you enable POP in your GMail account? This can cause this type of
reaction, and POP's not enabled by default.

Yes I did.
Gmail works in my Outlook Express and with Firefox.
But now I want to get the Pop-client in my mobile phone also but I don
´t manage to get it working.

Have you contacted your phone tech support? If you have POP working
from somewhere else, and your phone says it can't find the server when
you try to configure it, there seems to be a problem with your phone.
You need to try calling them for support.

The thing is that the instructions on the web doesn´t fit with my
options in the mobile phone. For example, I cannot choose "Use SSL" as
the instructions says.
I´m also confused about with port to choose, Port: 465 or 587.
Finally, I get some questions from my mobile phone that doesn´t appear
in the instructions.

I tried to ask my phone tech support but as always - they ask me to
ask Google/Gmail...
So I´m jumping between to supports right now.

If anybody has a clue, I would be very thankful!

A) We're not Google/GMail tech support, that's the web pages you've
already visited. We're fellow users like yourself.
B) If your phone cannot use SSL, then it cannot connect to GMail's
servers. They only support encrypted connections (for your
protection).
C) Don't directly e-mail people in this forum unless specifically
requested to, it's considered rude.

Zac:
C, First of all - my sincere appologises for directly e-mailing. I didn
´t know it was considered rude since I´m (as you´ve noticed) a new
beginner here. But thanks for telling me, I will not do it again.

A, Yes, I know you are fellow users, and I´m very impressed that
people helps each other. What I ment was that I´m jumping between
Gmail help discussion and my mobile operator.

B, Maybe that is the answer. I honestly don´t know if my phone
supports SSL since I never get that option when trying to make it
work.
