Hi

I used to get CSV attachments in gmail and there was a link to view the attachment with a single link. The view showed the file as text file.

For the last few days (may be 3-4 weeks) I am not seeing this "View" link. I do not recall having made any change in settings. Any clues?

I hope you get an answer. I've been looking for three weeks and yours
is the first post I've seen about this now missing function.

In common with other (Excel) spreadsheet formats, CSV files are now "viewed" through the Google Docs Viewer, which they open when the "View" link is clicked (just below the attachment filename).

If you are using Gmail as your email client, you will be able to view the CSV file as a Google Spreadsheet.
If you use Gmail, you can still access Google Docs: Simply sign up for a free account at Google Docs.
  1. Once you have signed up for a Google Docs account, open the email and click “Save” to download the email to your computer.
  2. Sign into Google Docs and select “Upload File” to locate your CSV file. You should now be able to view your file as a Google Spreadsheet.

Sorry, but I have an email with CSV attachment here and there is no "View" link for it in GMail. Also the list of supported file types in your link for more details does not include CSV. Has this functionality been removed for this file type?

This does seem strange. Why should one have to download a CSV file from Gmail and then re-upload it to view in Docs?

This still doesn't work.  I wonder if Google will ever address it?
