I think it has to do with the auto-save feature which is great, but
it's rendering gmail unusable. I'll have to switch soon, even though I
don't want to, because there's no way I can have an email system that I
can't write emails.
IE 6.0
Windows XP
Anyway, I was so frustrated, I had to upgrade to IE 7.0 which I didn't
want to do. IE 7 stinks, I'm now dealing with a lot of other problems.
The cursor thing went away a little bit, but not entirely (see below).
Also noticed when Google apps would first load, the cursor would go to
the obvious box, like when you hit the "c" keyboard shortcut button to
compose. The cursor USED to go right for the "To:" field and you could
begin typing right away. Now it just doesn't find it, effectively
making keyboard shortcuts worthless (what's the point? If I just have
to locate the mouse anyway to put the cursor in the To field, might as
well forgone the shortcut and grabbed the mouse in the first place.
It sounds from your other posts that you have a focus problem. Some
program is grabbing focus from the active window, and you have to
force focus back. You should try this on a clean install machine, or
go to a public library and use their system. This will allow you to
see that the problem only occurs on this one machine.
Also, as an alternative to uninstalling whatever is stealing your
focus, you can use Alt-Tab to change the focus back, rather than
having to move the mouse.

I hope there will be a solution, because yes, I can use IE at home, but
at work I want to use gmail as well (same problem at work).
