Oops..the system encountered a problem (#700)

I get this error message whenever i go to my inbox (have to refresh to
bypass this)
I get it on different computers xp and windows 7
chrome, firefox and ie no difference
I changed almost all my settings only work around seem to be the older
version
I beleive I need my gmail server changed but I haven't had any
correspondence (genric email reply) in over a month
how can I get help

A search of the help center (http://mail.google.com/support/bin/search.py?ctx=en%3Asearchbox&query=700) yields several results indicating this might be a problem with filters, or POP3 accounts you're "fetching".  This article in particular (http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/gmail/thread?tid=1eb9002c0909cc8e&hl=en) seems to have helped several people.
