The only way you could do this is to compress the folder into a single
file. Both Macs and PCs have a way to do this built in, but you could
also download something like StuffIt. If you want to send it as an
email, you have to male sure that it is small enough for you to send
it and your friend to receive it. For example, GMail allows people to
send/receive up to 20mb. However, many other mail services limit
attachment size to 10mb. If your friend is using such a service you
are also limited to 10mb. Also, GMail does not allow you to send exe
files as attachments even if they are compressed.

There are websites out there that allow you to uplaod files to their
servers then it creates a link for people to download. The first one
that I can think of is yousendit.com.

I would look into making a .zip file of the folder, and sending that, just
to make it easier. You can attach multiple files, but one zip file makes it
simpler. Zip files can also handle folder hierarchy, if there are
subfolders.

Be aware that executable files can't be send by Gmail, even those within zip
files.

If the "large" folder is very large, you might want to consider something
other than email to move it. Email wasn't really intended for moving huge
chunks of data.

Hi my Dear Friends,

You don't have to make any ZIP file for sharing a folder..if you have google account, then you open google documents using the same login ID and Password..There is an option given to upload a folder..from there you can directly upload your folder from your PC without making a ZIP. And you can share upto 1 Gb approx at a time..this is good..
