I'm pretty sure this has nothing to do with Gmail, maybe you're looking for Skitch?

In the past I quite often would need to take a screenshot of a website page or document and then insert a circle or arrow to clearly show what I was referring to or to simply show where to click to navigate a page. I do not see how i can do this in gmail as of yet when I add a screenshot. Can someone tell me if this function is possible. Thanks

Hi Wes,

I have made a small application to do just that. When its open, you just press shift+f3 for arrow, shift+f4 for circle, and they will be placed exactly where your cursor is situated. Then the image pops up and you can place it on the desktop by right click and paste. Then attach it to your mail.

You can find it here: http://www.phonepilot.net/, downloads, windows utilities

Regards,

Martin
