I recently moved out of state and before doing so changed my pw and
secret question. Must have been late at night because I don't remember
answer to the secret question or my pw. Also I must not have changed my
secondary address.
Since I really love gmail I made a lot of labels and stored a lot of
things I liked. But now I cannot get back in to save my soul and cannot
get admin to help or respond.

If you had this problem what did you do? Please feel free to email me
at my other gmail acct jfk...@gmail.com
Had to get a new invite just to get into this group. geesh!!!

Hope someone can help,
June

I'm afraid we probably can't help you. If you've forgotten your
security question's answer and you don't have a secondary address, your
only option is contacting Google directly. :(

The silliest thing about pw and secret questions is that you have to
write them down on some piece of paper - that's always lost.
In my case, I just gave up the techno stuff and bought a small "secret
pad" where I write down all my hundreds of pw + secrett questions,
adding the date I changed it. I keep that "secret pad" in some stupid
secret place
I mean, all these up to heaven machines and programs and all, but you
still can't figure a way to remember where all the keys are.
Ridiculous.

"Also I must not have changed my secondary address. "

Do you have or did you supply a secondary address? And did you try
recovering your poassword using this address?

Well, techincally you should have the password memorized. ;)

And the point of the secret question is to make it something which is
blazingly obvious (to you). IE, "what was your first pet's name?"
Hopefully you only had one "first pet" and it only had one name...
someone trying to break in who has never actually met you will have no
clue, but you should know perfectly. Don't make it something you have
to think about just to come up with the answer in the first place, like
"What was the tenth man from the back of the church at my
sister-in-law's wedding's hair color?" :)
