How is this not an option, yet: Nested labels get parent's color by default...

Am I really the only one who wishes when creating a nested label that new label by default gets the color of its parent? Am I the crazy one?

Crazy, no, and ONLY one, probably not, but not sure if we could parlay that into enough interest for Google to implement it.  Have you tried turning it in as a suggestion?  Maybe drum up additional people to suggest here.

A child label doesn't inherit the color of its parent label.

However, you can set the color of the parent label (even if setting it to the same color it already has) and specify that it and all its children labels also get the same color.  It's almost as good.

Unfortunately, Google keeps on changing what the available label colors are, so I often end up with labels having orphaned colors that Gmail no longer supports.  Arrgh.
