looks great  but is it safe, i mean how they can know about my emails sizes without having access to them !! what do you think?

i didn't try it yet, but i really need such a solution (i always wandered why Gmail do not allow a way to sort emails by size or to search by size!

any way -thank you

I wouldn't trust anything to search through my mail.

I also don't need to worry about disk space and big emails, I have extra storage :)

I'm not using it, I just thought to share since the topic is brought up here a lot. BTW, according to the website they do not get a hold of your password, the authentication is done by Google.

I explained about the use of FindBigMail in a previous
thread on this forum.

OK, so they don't get your plain text password, but its what they do once Google has authenticated them into Gmail that concerns me.

Without being able to look at the code.. who knows what its doing... copying every email it scans to another IMAP account?

That's one of the reasons I wouldn't use them.  They are doing something you could just as easily and securely, do for yourself.  Fire up Thunderbird, turn on IMAP, use Thunderbird's built-in searches for larger messages, copy them to a new "folder" Big-mails, then that "folder" will be a label inside GMail.  Then you've got the same effect, but without going to anyone else.

Nah!... I better wait for some solution like a Lab or extension from
Google itself for this.
