So you know when you click on a message in your inbox, then you can click on the drop down labels menu button to assign it a label?  How do I remove labels from this box?  In label settings, I've clicked "hide", I've clicked "remove from IMAP" and they still show up on the list of labels.  I don't want to remove the label.  I want to be able to access it later.  But for right now, when I organize my messages, I don't want to have to scroll through ALL the options of labels I've created (and thought I'd hidden from view!).  Help is appreciated, thanks.

I do not think this is possible at this time.  Even when hidden, you might want to label a message wih a particular label.  If your client supports a keyboard/typing, you can begin typing the label name and it will jump down to the appropriate place.
