Someone keeps trying to let me add them to my chat list. I have no idea
who it is. Infact my chat message states to email me first.

Google Talk doesn't have profiles. Either ignore the person or drop a
note asking who they are.

I think they have to be on your contact list. check that. maybe you can narrow it down.

No, there is no such thing as a Google profile. Google Groups has
profiles (thanks Bill), but that is not likely to tell you anything.

How do you mean? If someone wants to add her to their list, it's

Correct. My chat list is empty and this address is not on my contact

There is no one on my contact lists with that email address. It's like
they've auto programed it to keep asking me to chat. What do I have to
do to find out who this is without agreeing to add them to my chat

I was referring to you emqil contact list. I think they have to me on your list of e-mail contacts with a gmail account to chat with you

No, that's not the case. I had this one annoying kid who kept trying
to message me and I had never seen his email before at all. It was not
in my Contacts at all.

I just clicked "No", assuming that it was a spambot, as with every
