I would like a certain email account and I don't understand why I
can't have the one I want.
I accidently gave a person the wrong email address (the one I want)
and it is the only way for this person to contact me.
I sent an email to the address (the one I want) explaining what I had
done and asked their forgiveness. I also asked them If they got an
email from a certain person could they please send it on to me. I
received an automated response that there is no such account.
I then tried to open a new account with the address I want and it says
that it is not available. I can't contact anyone from gmail to ask
them about it so I am posting here with the hope that I may get some
help.
It is really important that this person is able to contact me.
So I am asking for help in this matter!! Please!!!!

nbc,

Google will NOT 'recycle' - or 'transfer' accounts (or e-mail
addresses) - under ANY circumstances!

There are two likely situations, either of which result in you being
out of luck.

1) The account is a Google reserved word. There are certain accounts
(admin, God) that they prevented from the very beginning to be ever
created.

2) Someone once had that account, and it's either fallen dormant, or
they canceled it. Google has never (to my knowledge) recycled a user
name, so it's forever lost.

The address might have been used at one point then the owner closed
it. Google doesn't release usernames/email addresses even after
they're closed (at least, I've never seen them do it), so you're
probably out of luck.

You don't have any way to contact the person?

It would appear that YOU have a way of contacting this person other than email since you are the one that told them your email address.  Why don't you just use this other way of contacting them to inform them that you gave an incorrect email address the first time?  That seems like the easiest solution.

You say you told about this email address - your account - to a friend !?!?

If he doesnt realy nead this specific address, he could give it to you - you take over it - change the login user name and password, and he then opens a new account for his presonall use. No problem, i think.

I ran into this person by chance at a fast food restaurant and he
probably will never be there again. So I do not have any other way of
contacting him.

He is not a friend. It was a chance meeting and now probably a missed
opportunity for my young son.

No I have no way of contacting this person. His last name is a common
name so I can't even google his name to see if I might be able to find
him that way.

I think you've mixed up what was said to whom.  There are 3 people involved.  The friend he told the (wrong) email address to, wasn't the one who didn't respond.  The person who didn't respond, apparently had that email address in the past, but doesn't have it anymore.
