Great feature offered by gmail. It will be highlight in gmail history.

Gmail & Google Talk integration is a great idea, but I want even more
integration! ;) Why don't they integrate Gmail with Google Groups and
Google Reader?
I would like to log in into Gmail and see if there are any new items
in Groups and RSS feeds that I subscribe.

The Groups thing is easy to do.  Just set your email preferences to send you an email every time something new is posted, then have Gmail filter your various groups.  That's what I do with Gmail-Users.  Then when there is something I want to reply to, I just do it straight from Gmail.

For the RSS feeds, you can have them appear at the top of the screen one at a time, in a random order.  I don't think that that is what you want, but in case you didn't know, click Settings > Web Clips and add the feed you want.

Yea, but this doesn't work for Usenet groups.

Web Clips are good for presenting random articles from huge news sites,
but definitely not for RSSs from which I want to read every item.

Sounds to me like you're looking for the Google Personalized thingy.
RSS feeds, gmail, and widgets (with an open API) all in one
customizable portal. Assuming you're already logged into gmail, go to
google.com and click the 'personalized home' link up top.

You can invite your friends to get gmail and join you.

On MSN I can only talk to people who have accounts on it, ditto for
AIM, and just about any other IM I'm aware of. Same limitation.

Having Groups and Reader "integrated" with gmail would be great! I'd
love to easily just click a link on the left sidebar and be able to
pull up Reader (instead of the one line scroll at the top). I know
they've begun to add features like this, but full integration would be
great!

You do know that you can have an RSS for your Gmail, and many groups
have RSS feeds, so you could self-integrate into your reader.
