I posted the following message to the Gmail Problem Solving group, and
was referred to this group to seek the help of some HTML Guru's. :-)
This isn't really GreaseMonkey specific - I'd like to be able to make
this work in browsers other than Firefox (although FF is _definately_
my first choice.)
Anyway, any help or pointers would be most appreciated.

I am working on an open source web-based operating environment called
Atomic OS[1]. As a long time supporter/user of Google and it's
services, I'd like to make Gmail the default web-based email client for
my project. I am currently working on developing the GUI code for AOS,
and running into a most unfortunate snag: Gmail refuses to run inside
an iframe. (So does Spreadsheets for that matter.)
Is there a way to keep gmail from popping out and taking over the
window/tab? A demonstration of the issue can be found at the second
address below[2] by double-clicking "My WWW" and browsing to
Applications->Email. (Or click the "Menu" button, and double-clicking
the Email icon.)
TIA,
- Scott
Sorry, hit "Post Message" too soon and missed the references mentioned
