Hi Everyone.

Can anyone tell me if it's possible to keep my unread messages at the
top of my list of emails? I still want to be able to look at my unread
messages, I would just like them displayed below all of my unread
ones.

Thanks,

Tucker

Do a search in GMail for "is:unread"... then when you want the unreads
you just use the normal view, or "is:read".

Well, one thing that you can use that is very handy is the Gmail
"focus" command (keyboard shortcut: f)
What it does is filter only unread messages from whatever view you are
in (inbox, a label, all mail).. it works pretty cool.

Actually that's a GMail Macro script shortcut, not a default GMail
keyboard shortcut.

You are correct... I thought it was something added to the latest
version of Gmail, but it was something Mihai cooked up afterwards.

But who uses Gmail without the macros anyway? ;-) (especially
Brent's version :-)

I'm not sure if I'm proud or ashamed to admit... but I do... I didn't
use to use keyboard shortcuts at all, but I had Mahai's saved searches
and a "Mark as Read" button greasemonkey. Mahai didn't do saved
searches for GMail 2.0 and the "Mark as Read' wasn't updated. At
least with the new saved searches and Google Toolbar with Bookmarks; I
can now use my GMail comfortably even when I'm forced to use IE like
right now. :)

MichaeI:
This function does not work in inbox view, only in labels view. Using
it inbox view adds a parameter which ruins the result.

But I agree the f shortcut is great !
