Anyone know how to color your text in google chat or any other hacks/
tips?

like putting * before and after a word bolds it, _ italisizes it

You've got the two I know. Colors (or other HTML) don't work, period.
Google sanitizes the messages.

i know you can make special characters using the character map...just
copy/paste from the character map that comes with windows (i THINK)

but there definitely is color i think, because I saw someone use it...

I found out how:

it only works on google talk gadget, i think, i don't know why

just put ^ around the word(s) and it'll appear blue and capitalized
