to Suggest a Labs feature
It would be awesome if Gmail offered an app to get statistics on your
email flow: for example, how many emails are you getting a day, how
many are from listserves etc, how many are work emails (or specfic
project emails), etc. As well as by days/time periods - so you would
have information on comparativly how many emails you get on the
weekends, or busiest email times.
I know that its easy to count up all the emails (especially if they
are well filtered) but I get, literally, hunderds of emails a day, and
they are sometimes overwhelming to keep up with. I think this feature
would allow people to be much more strategic in the way they deal with
email communication.
