I have many e-mail accounts linked to my main gmail account that I
send e-mails from. I use different addresses for different things,
and it would be helpful to have different signatures for different
"from" addresses. So, a certain signature would show up if I am e-
mailing from my work e-mail, and another signature would show up if I
am sending from my school e-mail, and another signature for my
personal, etc.

Could be a combination of two options - a drop-down list for different
signatures, and also tying a signature to a reply-to email address..
so when replying from a work email address, the work signature is
automatically selected, and from a personal email, the personal
signature is automatically selected.

That would be a great feature ! I think the best way would be to tie a
signature to each e-mail account. When you add one, you can edit
parameters like your name and servers, why not add the signature as a
parameter ?

I agree. I would love this feature. I spend too much time deleting my
work signature from personal emails, where it looks odd.

Yes, it would be great to have multiple signatures available. I don't
think it would be mandatory to design the feature so the signature is
auto-selected based on which email account you are sending
from......just the option to have a few different signatures to select
from would be great. My work just started using gmail, and sometimes I
casually sign "Thanks." Other times I want to include my name, work
phone, and cell phone. Lastly, I coordinate activities and communicate
regularly with a group; in this case, I include a link to the website
I keep up to date in my signature (a little geeky, but effective).

Yes, yes and yes... This is one think I miss in gamil. True! One can
use FF extension, but one can use it on public machines.

YES! I definitely miss this from Thunderbird. I would love to see
default signatures per address and the option of selecting from a list
of signatures.

have some experience in web development.
But I never coded some Gadget for Google and I don't really know where
to start...

I want this feature also!! I use Gmail for Personal and Work E-mail
but i don't reply to work e-mail from gmail because my signature
contains my personal contact info. hopefully this will be coming
sooner rather than later!!!

Hi, now yo can do that: signatures with images, different fonts, etc.
just using LABS: Templates for Answer, and you can named each
signature and call when you need to used.
It's very usefull.

I have multiple email addresses that I send email from. It would be
very convenient/useful if I was able to configure a different
signature for each email address. This is almost a must have: it is
very embarrassing to send an email with the wrong email/signature.
This is my only issue with Gmail. Everything else exceeds my
expectations. Great work!

Oh Yes Please, this is a much needed feature or lab, I think it would
be very well accepted. It will allow us to more easily use our gmail
for multiple addresses. An option in the account settings pane where
it lists send mail as... the "edit info" link could include settings
for which signature to use or write a custom signature right there!

I agree and I would stress that we need a different signature for
apply-to vs. compose-new email.
(Like signature options in Microsoft Outlook... you can specify which
signature to use whether you're composing a new e-mail vs. replying to
an e-mail.)

I second this suggestion. I want to be able to select from multiple
signatures, like "love, Mom," or "Ellen Watkins [phone number]," or
just "Ellen." Typically I like to add a fun quote that I rotate
monthly, but I don't want it in the more formal signatures. By
allowing multiple signatures, I can select when and where to use which
one.

+1 I have more than 6 accounts... and i have my office job... and my
freelance job mail accounts... so it will be really nice to have this
feature... i think that i had allready seen it in roudcube (webmail
software) ... or anyother like that... come on gmail... you can do it!
