second move of a gadget makes it break

to Navbar drag and drop
When I move a gadget and drop it, then decide I don't like where it is
and go to move it again right away, the movement gets very sttuttered
and I can't drop the gadget again anywhere at all. the only way to get
rid of it on my mouse is to close the tab and then re-open it.
