Docs gadget doesn't work

I run Safari on Mac and on my own domain.
But Google Docs very often doesn't work.
It normally says:
"Ooops! "Google Docs" failed to load. Try again"
Same for Calendar gadget.
Anybody knows what the problem can be?

It's been like this forever and Google doesn't seem interested in
fixing it, unfortunately.
