Events added with 'add' button don't set reminders (Gcal's 'quick add' does this)

Events added with the 'quick add' link at http://calendar.google.com
automatically set an reminder alert 15 mins before the event.
However, this functionality isn't carried over to the 'quick add'
button in the Gcal gadget in Gmail. An event is created, but without a
reminder. Please can you investigate? The gadget should behave the
same as the Calendar itself.
