you have no new mail

I love the concept of this program, but is there any way to have it
stop notifying me every few minutes that I have no new mail? :-)

Please check your version, this should have been fixed in the 0.5
release.

You're right! I had the wrong version installed... 0.1 I uninstalled
it and downloaded a new copy from http://www.williamrandol.com/GmailIconNotifier.htm
by clicking on the 'Download Now' button. Unfortunately, it gave me
the same version. I googled for 0.5 and found the correct file on
fileforum.betanews.com. Works great! Thanks! :-)
