Hi my name is Michelle.
I'm a webdesigner, but spend some of my free time working on
http://www.queenmichelle.com which is my personal site.
I joined Gmail help because mailto links weren't working, they still
aren't at all and if anyone has any ideas i'd be happy to give them a
try. Then I got invited here and have been reading for a couple days..
butttt figured i'd say hi. so hi :D

welcome to the group michelle. im sorry i can't help you with you
mailto: links not working properly. i used to use the webmailcompose
FF extension and lately it hasn't been working properly. it's not big
deal. im waiting for the developer to update. maybe that will fix the
problem.

anyway... i checked your site.. have you considered using a blog
engine of some sort?

Hi Michelle I am Ryan. I took a quick glance at the site and didn't see
any email links. Could you explain what you mean by not working? The
syntax for mailto is: <a href="mailto:goog...@gmail.com">Gmail
me!</a> For example. Now if that's what you are doing and when you
click nothing pops up, its your browser settings.

I just took another look and found it..It works for me, Outlook Express
popped up with some e-mail address in the to field. Where you trying to
add a subject also or something?

when you mentioned mailto: links were you referring to your website or
while browsing?

person's name isn't in the to box and when i try to send it, if i type
in the email address it wont send... realllly weird.

i actually use a blog engine kinda thing, my friend made it so its
kinda ghetto.
